The idea of Akanthos was born amid laughter and coffee as two audiovisual translation colleagues and friends met shortly before the pandemic came to be —musing over the current and future state of the audiovisual industry, localization services and their favourite shows— having collaborated with industry leaders and independent content creators all over the world for more than a decade.

What began as ideas and a passion for quality eventually materialized into a diverse and multicultural team with a clear vision: helping our clients craft the version of their story through expert localization and management services, contributing to change what is usually perceived as a necessary cost into a valuable investment instead.
